Crossroads is a Charity which promotes, offers, supports and delivers a high quality
respite service to carers through the provision of community-based support workers. Crossroads trained carer support workers
take over the carers role in their own homes to give the carer regular breaks. Funding is by local donations and grants.

Diabetes U.K. is the new name of the British Diabetic Association. The Southend Branch raises money for important
equipment for the treatment of diabetes and research. Meetings are held monthly at the Education Centre, Southend Hospital
with interesting speakers.
